Token Clicker: a 33,716-line browser idle game shipped 19 hours after its specs with Claude Code

Julien Renaux committed the design specs for Token Clicker, an idle game mocking the AI boom, at 23:11 on 23 September and shipped it at 18:50 the next day. It has 332 upgrades, 273 achievements and 448 fake headlines in seven languages, written by agents in parallel and checked by a test suite for the jokes (including a 156-entry denylist of real people and products) alongside engine and pacing tests.

Caveats

The 19 hours excludes writing the specs. Launch day ran in Claude Code on the web and isn't in the cost figure; the ~$264 covers only later local work. The game promotes the author's TrendingDevs brand.
